What's in my travel makeup/skincare bag

Hi all, by the time this post is posted on my blog, I would have already landed in Bangkok :)

Here's a "What's in my travel makeup/skincare bag" post since I will be in Bangkok for a week - to be exact, eight days. My flight is scheduled on 15th afternoon and I will back on 22nd, close to midnight.

A lot of you may gape that I am spending eight days in just Bangkok, but this is my first trip there and it is not a pure shopping trip, I intend to some slacking, indulge in lots of massages and have a good rest while in Bangkok.

Enough of intro and I shall move on to the main topic - What makeup and skincare items am I bringing on this trip?

The bag that I am using is this Cath Kidston 2-Fold Toiletry Bag that I bought from their online store a couple of years ago. It is a two fold washbag with clear zipped inner pockets.

What I like best about this bag that besides it being big, the material is waterproof. No worries about putting the bag on wet sinks or dirtying the bag as I can simply wipe it down.

I like to keep my skincare and makeup separated, one type on each side of the pockets. I shall start off with the makeup side first.

First, are some hair ties, a hair grip and a velcro fringe holder to keep my hair away from my face.

Then I have some disposable makeup sponges and q-tips.

My old and trusty Shu Uemura UV Under Base in BB Mousse and Face Architect Sheer Refining Mousse Foundation for long lasting makeup.

Some more base makeup, blushers and lippies..

Then here's the eye makeup items that I am bringing..

Clockwise..
Closeups of the eyeshadows..

Even though both the eyeshadow palettes are cheap (especially the Daiso one) they are very smooth and pigmented.

Lastly, a shadow and highlight duo from Daiso.

Realised that I have not pack my brushes in... Anyways, the brushes that I will be bringing is from RMK, a travel brush set from 2 christmas ago.

It looks like this.. (Below two pictures from a vain woman

I will be bringing all the brushes except for the sponge tip applicator and the eyebrow brush.

If you notice, I did not pack any brow stuff or mascara. I try to do fast, minimum makeup when I am travelling. Since my brows are fairly thick to begin with, I can get away with not doing my brows. As for mascara, I realised that for my past few overseas trips, I don't reach for them. So, for this trip, I am leaving my eyelash curler and mascara home.

Okies, moving on to the skincare pocket...

First, an eye mask that I got as GWP from IPSA quite some time back.. Just in case I want to sleep on the plane or I may need it in the hotel.

This is an eye mask from Kao that will heat up. I find it very soothing to use and it helps me sleep well.

For my hair, I am bringing this Pantene Clinicare Hair Time Renewal Shiny Reflection Oil. This hair oil is okay... Not too fantastic in my opinion but decent enough to tide me through for a few days.. The bottle is quite light now, since I have used more than half of it. For comb, I always bring this wooden comb. Can't remember where I got it from...

My face stuff and lots of samples..

I have sensitive skin which tends to breakout when there is a change in climate/weather, so skincare wise, I typically bring stuff that helps combat acne.

There is Kiehl's Yerba Mate Tea Lotion, Ettusais Pore Care Lotion and Medicated Acne Skin Version Up Extra, SKII Facial Treatment Essence, Etude House Red Spot Balm, Naruko Niaouli and Tea Tree Night Gelly, etc.

The only full sized product I brought along is the Kiehl's Yerba Mate Tea Lotion, which is almost all used up. Hopefully, I can still get five or more uses out of it.

My sunblocks... For face and body.

From clockwise..
Lastly, small vials of perfume from Juicy Couture and Clarins  and my Kirei Kirei Hand Sanitizer.

In order to cut down on the weight of my luggage, I try to bring full sized items that are smaller and lighter and just bringing along samples that I have amassed from the counters or GWPs.

Also, I try to bring along cosmetics that I don't mind losing or breaking - so that I wouldn't suffer any heartache in case I lose or smash them.

Thanks for reading! Bye~! Until the next time!
