a brief introduction to the skincare products that i usually use.. here's part 1.. ^-^ please do not be amazed by the amount of things that i use..

- cleanser(s)
Clarins Water Comfort
this is used when i have no morning classes. this is a non-rinse cleanser cum toner! very convenient for lazy people like me! only need to apply moisturiser after this!
as this is more for dry skin (i have dehydrated combi skin), my face turns a little sticky after 1 hour or so. despite this, i loooove this product due to the nice, sweeting smelling peach scent!
Avene Cleanance soap-free facial cleanser; The Face Shop Fine Foam Facial cleanser Lavender
if i classes in the day, then i will either use the avene or face shop cleanser. which cleanser i use depend on my mood that day, but usually i will automatically reach for the face shop cleanser. i prefer this over the avene cleanser as i feel that the latter leaves a film on my face..
to foam the cleansers up to fine bubbles, i use a foaming ball. with the foaming ball and a little water and cleanser, it will create a luxurious foam, which will be less harsh on the skin and i looove massaging the foam over my face and neck~! ^-^
Avene thermal spring water
i use this to soothe and moisturise the skin after cleansing. use spray this on the face, leave it to dry or pat the water in. i prefer to pat the water in. the Sales Assistant (SA) told me that this motion will bring the water deeper beyond the skin's surface.
ICM witch hazel
this is my cheapest skincare product, cost less than $5. what's this for?? it's as a toner. despite the unwelcoming smell, it works pretty well in controlling my oil production. it might be due to my imagination, i do think that my pores are smaller after using this! lol
Avene Cleanance anti-shine regulating lotion; Origins Make A Difference
the two above are moisturisers. i reach for the origins one more. quite loving this product, it leaves my face soft, hydrated and yet keep my oily t-zone at bay for a few hours! despite loving this moisturiser, i don't think i will be getting a second jar, as i am contemplating of switching to a japanese skincare range (ie. kanebo) or the clarins hydra-matte moisturiser. i feel that i am tugging on my skin when i try to spread this gel-cream over my face, which supposedly isn't good for the skin in the long term (will cause wrinkles!!).
the avene moisturiser might not be hydrating enough for my skin as my skin will become oily much faster as compared to using the origins one. and it also doesn't leave my skin feeling soft.. not to mention that sometimes my face feels sticky a few hours after application.. not so loving it..

summary of events
friday (24 aug)
had an afternoon class - P1 Professional Accountant.. thank goodness juehui is taking this paper as well, otherwise i would have been totally bored to death or do something unacceptable (eg drooling in class or throwing my slippers at the lecturer). I cannot stand my lecturer!! He took 2 hours to finish teaching 3 pages of notes and another 1 hour to answer 1 exam question!! -____________-"""
bf met me at starhub centre and we went to have our dinner at sketches (bugis). we shared a mushroom soup (which tasted great!!) and each a plate of spaghetti. as per usual i ordered my fave, bacon in cream sauce. the bacon is crispy and salty but the cream sause is disappointing... it was almost tasteless.. bf's said that his was ok..
saturday (25 aug)
met up with 3 cotters in bugis village to buy nail stuffs! sooo fun! we bought OPI nail polishes at $3, many nail stickers and other nail tools. after "melting" at bugis village for about 4 hours, we made our way to parco to enjoy the aircon and to relieve ourselves.. haha.. the gals also bought their nail magazines. really had a very very enjoyable outing with the gals! hope to do it again soon!!!
sunday (26 aug)
rotted at home due to stomach cramps... when i finally managed to fall asleep, bf called... then couldn't fall back alseep again.. so, woke up to take my lunch and panadol and went back to bed... then my mom called...... after hanging up, i finally managed to sleep in peace.. and woke up with swollen/puffy eyes. my eyes getting swollen is a common occurrence due to allergy to panadol and i usually get puffy eyes after my afternoon naps.
today monday (27 aug)
watched dvd till 12.30 before heading to juehui's house to attempt to study.. managed to study 1 chapter at her place. continued with my studies after dinner. almost half way through with my notes. ^-^ will be mugging hard for the rest of the week!
see, i am such a good gal! i deserve a treat!

why is he being so nice and treating me to such a nice dinner? well, that's because he wants to cheer me up... i received my results on 20th (mon) and have done very badly (in other words i failed) both of my papers.
despite failing, i am surprised that i don't feel upset... i don't feel anything.. i'm numb in fact. why is that so? i supposed after taking my ACCA papers for almost 3 years and failing 3 papers (not including the recent ones), i guess it might be a norm to feel numb... .... ...

went over to isetan scotts last fri and sat and bought the following...
C.C. Lemon [carbonated lemon juice/drink]
this drink cost $3 for 500ml, cheaper than Takeda C 1000 Vitamin Lemon 140ml which cost about $2.10 (for 140ml). but i think C 1000 taste better and is less gaseous. i burped more when drinking C.C. Lemon... think the next time when i am richer, i shall buy C 1000 by dozens.. more economical.

shrimp & seaweed senbei $6
i bought this senbei on sat with my cousin, on friday i bought the lobster senbei which i gobbled up half of it the day itself. many different flavours of senbei available, from plum to lobster. i prefer the lobster over the shrimp & seaweed.
despite the expensive price tag for such a small pack, i think i might get it at least another lobster senbei this friday... this products are only available for a limited period, as they are sold through stalls and not the supermart itself.

guess who i met up with yesterday? its my dear cousin, fuyu ^-^ the last time we met was a few months ago. we were supposed to be shopping for new clothes, or rather i wanted to shop for new clothes, but after walking around far east plaza and going to wisma's topshop, i was empty handed.. :(
then i got hungry.. and we went to each sushi at wheelock...... after a light meal, we went paragon because i wanted to look at rouge bunny rouge.... then we took a bus down to raffles city... and then we plopped our arse down at .........

he's ok....

early in the morning..
about 20 mins ago, one of my aunt called me that my grandpa is sick and is sent/sending to the hospital. both my parents are at home now, so she told me to ask my parents to call her back..
its been almost 10 years, or to be exact 7 years since his stomach cancer operation and he survived it, but soon got sicken with parkiston disease, and other old people's illness. through these 7 years, there were quite a few scares and numerous hospital stays for him.
prior to his cancer, we were rather close, he often bought me out on mini-road trips, bought me food that i like, my favourite honey from china when he went back to visit, played board games with me, and when i was much younger, he was the human shield from my mummy's cane when i was naughty.. i can say he's one of the most doting grandpa in singapore.
but after his illnesses, we drifted apart.. why? many many factors...
first, language barrier. he suddenly don't understand chinese or rather his chinese became very limited and i on the other hand, cannot communicate well in hokkien.
second, he became pretty much a pest. he seems to seek attention like a little child... by calling people to help him do things, eg bring him a cup of water, help him wear his clothes, fetch him his walking aid, etc. its not that i mind helping his run these little "errands". but would you mind if he keep calling you every other 5 mins to help him do things? i am not a patient person i don't mind if you one shot tell me to do things, but what he does is after helping him with the first errand, you just sat down on the couch and he will call again.. this repeats a few times.....
he doesn't care if i am studying or not, in the toilet or sleeping. when he calls, i must rush to him... if i don't respond, he will "hunt" me down. if i are sleeping, he will wake me up.
some of my friends and my cousins don't understand how fustrating it can be and tell me to understand him... these stuffs have been ongoing for 7 years.. all my patience and understanding has already been drained away looong time ago.. sometimes when my cousins say thoughtless things, i really feel like retorting back to them.. tell them to let him stay with them for 2 weeks.. lets see whesther they opinion changes...
ok.. i think i shall stop ranting about him and wish for the best....

why is monday dooms day? simply because i am receving my ACCA results.. crossing my fingers and praying that i will pass the 2 papers.. a pass will do, no need to have flying colors.. just gimme a 55 for both papers...
ok.. 55 is not just a pass.. its a pass + additional 5 marks.. i already got a bull's eye 50 for my paper 2.4, i do not want another 50 to appear, 55 looks better in my exam slip... but neither do i want to see a 49, 48, 47, 46 or other sickening lower scores..
everyone! pray for me!!

the sore muscle rub will be useful after a day of shopping! rub-away all the knots in my calves! oh also, my shoulders also need some attention from this balm! i bought the tiger balm neck & shoulder rub sometimes back, but its too hot for my liking!
Sleep Balm
the sleep balm will come in handy very soon.. the next monday (20th aug) i will be receiving my results...... *pray pray* hope i will pass all the 2 optional papers!! 19th will be a sleepless night for me.. do hope that this balm will work and send me to sleep!
sometimes i do find it hard to sleep, especially so when i am stressed (eg exam period).

my bf told me to blog about happier events (anything other than my grandpa), but nothing has made me exceptionally happy for the past week, and the highlight of the week was that my bf bought me some makeup brushes from sephora at duty-free, which i suppose i will take pics of them tomorrow morning.
taking a cue from erusa who blogged tigi haircare, i shall also blog about the haircare products i use!
first up, are the shampoo(s) and condtioner(s) that i use daily.
No Deposit is used once a week or sometimes once every two weeks if i forgot, to remove deposits that weight the hair down. i like this shampoo not for its cleansing properties but rather, for the nice smell! smells of grapefruit and peppermint!!! my mom also love the smell as well!
its a tad expensive to spend on such a small bottle of shampoo for its fragrance, the Neutrogena Anti-Residue shampoo works much better and cost just a fraction (but the smell is so-so. No Deposit smell wins!). usually after using the shampoo, i will use my hair mask, if not, my hair will be rather dry the next day.
naturaltech rebalancing sebum control shampoo
i use this once every blue moon to clean my scalp, or when i feel that my scalp is very oily (which is almost never nowadays). my dear friend mitchelle use this everyday. i find that after using this shampoo, my hair will be as dry as hay (even more worse that using the Origins No Deposit) so i must use a hair mask after this.
this shampoo is VERY good at controlling the oil though! you have to get this if you have oily scalp! as i bought the 1 litre size (which is more economical), it will take me ages to use up, i transferred some to my bf and i have also pumped out about 250ml to mitchelle some time back (which i think she should have finished using by now).
i use this almost daily for past 4 years, and i have finished my 3rd bottle today! this leaves my soft and tangle-free, but on bad hair days, this product doesn't help that much.. it also don't really help with the frizz. but what i really like its that no matter how much i apply, my hair doesn't feel greasy at all, but usually, i only need about 2 twenty cents coins for my whole head (my hair is half-way down my back).
thats all for today! wow! took me almost an hour to write this post! think i will head to the comfort of my soft bed and pillows, and since the weather is so condusive for sleeping (i think its gonna rain any minute from now!) i think i will be able to fall asleep immediately!

earlier this afternoon, one auntie called and said he wants to come back, as he isn't used to living in another house.. mom firmly said no, 'cause she needs a break.
his stay there didn't even last 24 hours and he is wanting to come back.. if they are so good, why would he want to come back?
how many times have you seen your own mother cry??? how do you feel when you see your mom cry?
today i saw my mom cried.. i cried along with her...
my grandpa went to stay with my auntie.. for how long? nobody knows.. maybe a few days? a week? a month? forever? as unfilial as i may sound, i do wish his stay there to be permanent..
