...job....

come sept 1 (coming monday) i'll be commencing as an accounts executive in the current company i am currently working temp with.

with the rise of my position, my salary will also increase and i will also have bonuses in the coming year.. but what i am afraid of is that i might not cope with the new workload, the expectation of my superiors and that i will be unable to shed my present image as a friendly, cute little girl.

theoretically, upon completing my ACCA qualifations, i am a professional accountant but i have yet to be a professional in sense and mind.

i have no inkling of how i should change (mind, soul and body) to suit my new role in the company... i do feel slightly apprehensive............

hopefully, i will start of monday on the right foot and my career as an accountant will be smooth sailing.

adambeauty mini haul

once again, i ordered something from adambeauty.. in the beginning this order is supposed to consist of the fall makeup but to my dismay, it turned into a skincare haul instead.. there's only 1 item which is makeup out of the 5 items i ordered and it doesn't belong to the fall makeup collection.......... no fall makeup for me!!! >_<

softymo Q10 powder wash

this powder facial wash is supposedly to contain Q10 and is gentle on the skin. it is also suppose to wash away the dead skin, blackheads, whiteheads and retain the skin's moisture.

i tried it once yesterday, so i can't really pass a verdict yet. but if i compare this to fancl's washing powder, this is definitely more gentle as it does not leave my skin taut. the part on dead skin, black/whiteheads its too early to comment. what i like is that the powder foams easily with a bit of water but then, the foam created is not as fine as my other cleansers.

Sana covercom face powder
its the only makeup item i gotten in this haul. there are 2 shades, #01 light beige and #02 natural beige. i got the #02 shade. its supposed helps to cover pores and the uneveness of the skin tone, and helps to lock in the skin's moisture and is SPF50+ PA+++.
one of the reasons i bought this is beause of a positive review i read in another blog http://lotuspalace.blogspot.com/search/label/Sana
looking forward to try this tomorrow morning~!

kose coen rich Q10 white hand & finger

this is a Q10 hand cream and i have tried it yesterday night and i can say is that i looove it~! it absorbs fast, no fragrance, no greasy feeling! even after washing my hands, there is no greasy feeling which i often get when using hand creams of another brands.

kanebo freshel white c brightening uv makeup base this is a SPF33 PA+++ green colored makeup base. i got it as i want to neutralise the redness on my cheeks and the sides of my nose. it has a watery consistency and blends easily.
i tried it on my hand just now, and i am in doubt whether it can neutralise the redness as it provides a light coverage. one thing worth commenting is that it is less greasy than my fancl SPF 30 sunguard and absorbs faster too.

lastly, a deep cleansing oil.

i have yet to play with this yet but the color is not that appealing to me.. haha.. the color reminds me of chrysanthemum tea or another kind of liquid..... :p

i think i gonna wait for a week or so before trying this out as i want to test drive the other items and see if they break me out..

that's all for now.. O_o

alima pure haul

my alima pure minerals arrived a few weeks ago but being lazy, i only took pictures of them today.. *sheepish grin* all the items i ordered are in sample size and they cost only USD1. first up, are the blush. i ordered both the luminous shimmer blush (lsb) and the satin matte blush (smb).

(clockwise: sugar rose (lsb), apple blossom (smb),
guava (lsb), mimosa (smb), dahila (lsb))

i have tried all the blush except sugar rose and all turned from pink/rose to peach on my cheeks by mid-morning.. though the peachy color still looks pretty nice on me, but i prefer if they remain turn to their shade. :( these blushes are quite pigmented (with exception of the smb blushes as the colors are light to begin with) and have to be applied with a light-hand. and they are quite long-lasting.

next up, the eyeshadows and eyeliners. but unfortunately, i can't comment much about them as i have not use them yet.. i am currently using my media shadows.

the top 5 containers are the luminous shimmer eyeshadows, the next 2 are the pearluster eyeshadows and finally, the bottom 2 are the luminous shimmer eyeliner.

check their site out if you are interested. most of their samples cost only USD1 (i think only the foundation samples cost USD1.50). the international shipping is standard at USD11. so its more worth it if you order more things in one order as the shipping cost does not increase with weight. http://www.alimapure.com/

alima pure

my alima pure mineral makeup haul came sometimes last week but i have yet to have time to take pictures of them..

the good news is that even though i have not taken pictures of them, i have tried a couple of the blushers, they look pretty nice but both the pink blushers turned peachy on my cheeks a few hours after application.. but i still like them anyways.. :p

more on that the next time.. hehe.. hopefully, my adambeauty haul will arrive by this week and i can take both the alima and adambeauty pictures together.. :) hope i would be tired/lazy to take the pictures this weekend.

oh man, its only monday together and i am already so tired...

online shoppin'

yesterday, i placed an order with adambeauty (again). ^-^ can't wit for my haul to arrive~! this time round, i only bought 2 cosmetics and the rest (another 3 items) are skincare.

initially, i wanted to get a box of masks (22 sheets in total) as it cost only USD15. to my dismay, the exchange rate increase to SGD1 to USD1.4++.... :( have to skip this and hopefully, the exchange rate will be more favourable the next time..

i also resisted the temptation to get another KATE dual carat, Lavshuca cute little dual eyes, VISEE rouge, and ................

see, i am making an effort to save money ok?! <-- for bf's eyes... :p don't always berate me for buying cosmetics/skincare ok?!! retail therapy helps me de-stress!

random ranting..

Its only 12.18pm now and i can already conclude that it is a lousy day for me…

First, it all begun with me forgetting to put my ez-link card into the bag that I carry to work and I only realize that my ez-link card was in the other bag at home when I have already begun walking to the bus stop.. I had no choice but to walk back home quickly to take my ez-link card.

Then at 10++am I had a semi-terrible stomachache… the kind that your tummy keep rumbling and tossing but you have no “feeling” of going to the bathroom to let it out.. x_x

The final blow came when I checked the Kaplan Singapore website for the August intake and revision course timetables… (I shall not go into details in that, all I can say that it messed up my plans >_<)

Right now, I am only working as a temp staff, my current company is kind to hire me as a full-time staff. But I think I can only really devote myself to work if I can successfully graduate. I hate it... All I need is to pass my final 3 papers and I DO REALLY BADLY wish that I WILL pass them all this time round. I REALLY REALLY don’t wish to retake the papers again! I want to graduate!!!!!!!! Then can I become an accounts executive...

THE day is approaching (18 August Monday) and it’s the day that will change my fate.. it will be the day that decides whether I will be an ACCA graduate or an ACCA student. And I sincerely hope that it will be the former. I have no desire to carry on studying for my ACCA papers anymore.

I want to work and earn a living.

I want to earn a living and spend happily.

I want to be happy and carefree.

kanebo vip event

today, i spend half of my precious afternoon at OG bugis. the reason being Kanebo was holding a one day exclusive VIP event!!

this is my door gift which cost $100. a impress 4 piece trial set, retail size blanchir clay wash and retail size t'estimo crystalish gloss in pk-13.

i bought 3 bottles of 360ml clear conditioner (2 for myself and 1 for my dear friend), each costing $82, usual price is $107 and this is limited edition, the usual retail size is 120ml and it cost $79. i also bought 1 blanchir night cream at $67.15 (with 15% discount), usual price is $79.

there is no GWP (gift with purchase) this time round even though i spent more than $200.. :( i was told that as the kanebo products i bought were either sold at special price or have direct 15%, so there's no GWP.. though i think its rather fair, but still since i spent quite a fair amount, i want some freebies! >_<

luckily, my usual beauty advisor from OG orchard point was there and she gave me a coffert d'or lipstick card sample. ^-^ this made me slightly happier.. haha

and what made me even happier was............ at the show, i answered one of the Q&A questions correctly and i got this gift bag~~!! :D woohoo~~

the gift bag consists of:
  • a t'estimo paper bag (*lol* i have a humble collection of carrier bags.. T_T)
  • faircrea foundation sample in shades C and D
  • t'estimo nail polish in pk-135
  • coffert d'or shiny gloss in pk-14
  • t'estimo single eyeshadow in pu-59

the t'estimo nail is very pretty~~~ a very nice pink with sliver and gold shimmers!! the coffert d'or gloss is a nice soft pink with multi-colored shimmers! pardon me if i describe them wrongly, i'm not that good with description.. ^-^

PS. i bought a nice and cheap 5-pieces makeup brushes set from Sasa.. x_x have to save money!!!!! >_<

first mineral makeup haul - from everyday minerals

(with flash)

(without flash)

this post will be a fast one, getting hungry.. :p

when i reached home last night, i was very happy to see that on my desk a small white package~! my everyday minerals has arrived~!!!

i placed my order last wednesday night and it only took slightly more than a week to reach Singapore from US~ so that's rather fast!

i ordered the free sample kit, consisting of 3 foundation samples, 1 blush sample and 1 concealer sample and also 1 extra blush sample, 1 finishing powder sample and 1 pack of flocked sponge (to apply the mineral foundation).

the free sample kit above cost USD9.00, the extra samples cost $2.50 each and with 7% discount of USD0.63. shipping and handling costs USD5.20. so in totality, i paid $13.57. the exchange rate is roughly USD1 = SGD1.40

friday haul

guess who has been shopping again?! O_o yep, that's right! ME~!

first off, i started small, by getting a packet of disposable sponges from Daiso. In this packet, there are 13 little triangles , and as per everything in Daiso, it cost only $2, therefore it makes every sponge slightly more that $0.15.

then i proceeded to Sasa, just wanting to get some empty screw-top containers.... then...... i saw the hair velcro thingy (there's 2 of them in the packet).... so i put it in the little pink basket that the sales assistant handed me, along with 4 small containers and 2 empty lip palettes (both not shown).....

then........ when i proceeded to pay for my loots at the cashier, something placed at the counter caught my eye....

the cashier/sales assistant being very (overly) attentive to my "need(s)" immediately proceeded to sell the product to me and she also squirted some of the product on my hand for me to test-drive... i was awed.... i was sold..... so i got it too.... x_x

don't ask me about the price... its something i want to forget.. i can only divulge that its the most expensive bottle of face mask that i ever gotten in my entire (almost) 23 years of age.

want to know more about it? head down to Sasa then.. don't want to advertise for it.. :P
