concealers

Initially, I wanted to blog about my morning skincare routine.. But being such a lazy person I am, I didn't want to dig my camera out to snap the pictures of the all bottles and tubes that I use.

Therefore, I decided to blog about another love of mine... For the past few months, its concealers... :)

(Above are the concealers that I use frequently or daily)

Those little white tags you see are the dates that I opened them for usage.. That's how I keep track of the expiry dates of my makeup! I have too many cosmetics, a bit hard to track..

Affordable undereye concealer from Canmake..

This has a strong orange undertone to cover up the dark eye circles and being creamy, its easy to spread... My only complain is that it isn't very long lasting... :(

The most expensive concealer I ever bought.. almost $50 if I don't remember wrongly....

Its from Kanebo Faircrea range... It has a very good coverage, the color matches me perfectly and it lasts the whole day... In the earlier part of the year, I used it as a liquid foundation.... I mix the conclear with my makeup base at the back of my hands and apply it with a latex sponge...

I find that it worked much better for me this way instead of using a "real" liquid foundation.. and the coverage is better without being mask-like.. Its a very good concealer!!

BUT... the downside is that the concealer finishes up very fast!!!!

Then I found a substitute for Kanebo Faircrea... Kanebo Kate's concealer... But as it is not as creamy as the Faircrea one, its hard for me to take out the concealer to mix...

There are 2 sticks above because when I bought the first one, the BA gave me the wrong shade.. So i had to go back and buy another shade that suites me better... I use the lighter shade (the wrong shade) to conceal my upper eye lids and the darker shade on my face in general.

This concealer is a bit hard but provides good coverage and its cost around $16. Not very considered expensive but slightly more expensive that my ZA concealer (see below).

Currently, for the past few months till now, I am no longer using the concealer mix with makeup base method...

This is another inexpensive concealer (I think around $8-$9), from Excel which is a Japanese brand. Its not sold in Singapore and I bought it online. Its a semi-creamy kinda of concealer, provides medium coverage. Its rather smooth, spreads and blends easily. :)

Now, for my current favourite concealer!!!

Easy to blend and spread.. Good coverage, affordable price... Usual price at $13 (I think..) and I bought mine when Watson's had the $3 off promo!

I pat thison with my fingers after my makeup base/sunblock to cover my blemish on my cheeks and the redness on the sides of my nose and then even out with a latex sponge. Then with what's left on the latex sponge, I just dab it on the rest of my face.

Then I use my Kate stick concealer to cover the more stubborn blemishes and dust some Kanebo Revue loose powder on my face. That's all for my base makeup :) I very seldom use my foundation now.. The poor thing is collecting dust in my drawer....

I do own some other conclears that are not "featured" in this post... But those are the "cold palace" concealers which I haven't touched for the past 4 months or more... soon to be thrown away after it expires...

That's all for today! Bye~~
