As compared to a couple of years back, the products I have used have changed quite a lot. Pretty much all have changed aside from d Program toner and moisturiser (not available locally but I always stock up when I am overseas).
My routine itself has not changed much. Cleanse, tone, serum, moisturise and sunscreen. I will skip sunscreen if I am not heading out.
Here's the list of items that is currently in my day time arsenal.
Cleanse (no fixed/favourite cleanser)
- Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser
Tone
- d Program Balance Care Lotion I
Serum
- Shiseido Power Infusing Concentrate
- Odacite
Hyperpigmentation Serum Concentrate (1 drop, mixed with moisturiser)
- Odacite Clogged Pores Serum Concentrate (1 drop, mixed with moisturiser)
- Pure Heals Volcanic Pore Eraser Ampoule Essence
(not used on a daily basis - saw no visible results, still using it so that it will not go to waste)
Everyday Makeup #1
My everyday makeup routine is pretty much the same for the past year or so, only that the products I uses vary..
Currently, these are the "few" products I have been reaching for before stepping out the door.
- Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder in Soft Sand
- Kate Lash Maximizer
- Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard
- Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Pink Opal
- Etude House Play 101 Pencil in #50
- Maquillage Concealer Stick in #2
- Lunasol Full Glamour Liquid Lips in Clear Coral Pink
- Addiction Tinted Skin Protector SPF 50+ PA+++
- Heroine Make Volume & Curl Mascara
- Bourjois Blush 95 Rose De Jaspe
- Nars Express Yourself Eyes
There's a mix of old favourites and new loves in this makeup cocktail...
The Kate Mascara Base has been a really old favourite of mine, I cannot recall how many years and how tubes I have gone through! I have been layering this under my mascara to help hold the curl and add volume to my sparse lashes.
Another old favourite of mine is the Lunasol lip gloss... I have this tube for so long that I think it should already been thrown away! But, I love it so freaking much! It gives my lips a slight wash of colour and makes my lips looks fuller.
Heroine Make mascaras are also long time favourite of mine, I have tried both the volume & curl and long & curl version and I love both equally. They are waterproof which are fantastic for warm, humid climates like Singapore.
My new favourites are the Etude House Play 101 Pencil and the Bobbi Brown Face Powder. The former is just so wonderful! No fading or smudging through out the day, relative easy to draw (it does tug on the lids a bit, just a bit), it sets fast and it is cheap! The latter keeps my face matte but not flat. There is still somewhat a bit of glow to my skin.. And no matter how much powder I cake on, it never looked cakey.
The Addiction Tinted Skin Protector is love upon first application... I cannot describe in words how I feel about it. It provides coverage yet you can still see your skin and the finish is satiny.. And it doesn't oxidise. As Addiction is not available in Singapore, I have been rationing my usage as this is a mini tube of only 15ml!
Thanks for reading! Bye~~!

Davines NOUNOU Nourishing Repair Mask
I was running low of my John Frieda Frizz-Ease Miraculous
Recovery Intensive Masque, which I liked but I didn’t like it enough to
repurchase. So when I came across this
Nounou Nourishing Repair Mask on Cult Beauty, I was very curious and excited!
Description: “Davines NOUNOU Nourishing Repair Mask is an
SOS gem for dry, broken, brittle hair, especially when caused by chemical
treatments. Davines is a family founded brand with distinctive style and
spirit. By combining high-grade natural ingredients with first-rate scientific
rigour the Bollati family has expanded its Parma research lab into a
multi-national hair care business. An inspiring range of original and authentic
products so good hair obsessives Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Aniston are
fans.”
First, this mask smells funky.. Luckily it doesn’t linger on
for long after washing the mask out.
Second, I don’t find this mask nourishing at all. The first
two times after I used it, my hair was knotty! Now that’s a problem that I
typically don’t encounter.
So when I tried it again, I coated my hair liberally with
the mask, spent a few extra seconds massaging, working the mask into the
strands, then tying back my hair and left it on for a few minutes more before
rinsing it off. After all that extra work, it did nothing special.
Not impressed at all as it works no better than the usual
conditioners in my stash.
