From the China website, there are actually 6 items, cleanser, toner, essence, gel-cream moisturizer, moisturizing fluid and eye cream. But what can be found locally are only the first 4 items.
After using the toner and gel-cream moisturizer for slightly more than a week (at night), I think that it is quite good, given that the prices of this Aqua Defense range are between $7.90 to $17.90. The toner is refreshing and leaves the skin cool but not the menthol-ly cool, which i dislike.
When poured onto the cotton pad, the toner does not evaporates fast, so I can use 1 side of the toner to wipe my skin and the other side to pat and prep my skin for the moisturizer.
As for the gel-cream moisturizer, when applied there is a slightly tingling sensation for like 3 - 5 seconds on my cheeks but for the other parts of my face its fine. I usually apply a thick goop (maybe about 20 cents coin) on my face and neck and then massage the moisturizer in. The last step is to warm my palms and put my palms on my face and neck to aid absorption (the Clarins method).
The gel-cream moisturizer is too rich for me to use during the day time (my t zone is an oil rig), but I didn't have any major breakouts, only one medium sized pimple... But is not hydrating enough for night use (I have combi-oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin), but i don't dare to apply any more moisturizer, so I bought the essence... hehehe...
I only tried the cleanser and essence once last night so I'll review those later... Between the 4 products, the fragrance are uniform, not overpowering and the smell really lifts my mood and makes me relax. :))
