Isetan Private Sales - ~H2O+ haul

Today is Isetan Private Sale :) and ~H2O+ has this Private Sales Special where all regular priced items are having 10% off!!! ^-^ How can I resist it?!

Here's a low down of what I gotten today!

  • Night Oasis Overnight Eye Complex
  • Ice Water Cooling Mint Trio (buy 1 get 1 free)
  • Soothing Foot Trio (buy 1 get 1 free)

The trio does not enjoy the 10% off, and after my Istean Credit Card 5% discount, the total damage is $233.31..... and I also received two $10 Isetan vouchers. :)

Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment can be used as a moisturizer or a 5 minutes mask. The Night Oasis Overnight Moisture Lock Mask and Eye Complex are leave on masks for the skin and eye area respectively.

Recently, I found that I have a deep dry line at each side under my eye bag! *fainted* Hopefully, the Eye Complex can save me!!! *fingers crossed*

My gift with purchase consists of a (ugly) pouch, Milk Hand & Nail Cream, Marine Cleansing Gel, Face Oasis Shine-free Neutralizing Gel, 10 Minutes Mattifying Mud Mask x2 (gave 1 away to my BF), Sea Results Eye Mender Plus and Acne Rescue Mask.

dec hauls (bought locally)

Here's a summary of what I bought locally during the month of december (so far) :) I will be getting a few more H2O items during the Isetan Private Sales ^-^ (don't try to stop me!)

Fancl Calorie Limit

Clarins Blemish Control

This blemish product (its quite watery) is pretty gentle on the skin yet effective on most blemishes, it isn't so effective on bigger blemish though. But that's good enough for me. What I really like about this product is how cooling it feels on the skin, as the blemish product is dispensed through a metal roller, and so, there's not need to use fingers or Q tips!

SaSa hauls...

Cyber Colors Firm & White Eye Gel

Due to my staring at the PC for such long hours, the skin around my eyes are quite dry and liner!!! =__= and not to mention those eye bags and dark circles.......

Cyber Colors Total Essential Care X'Mas Set

Consists of a full size cleansing cream, a full size milky emulsion, one trial size day cream, one trial size aqua pack and one wash off green tea pack.

This skincare set only cost $19.90! I have been using the cleansing cream and emulsion and so far so good! Really like the emulsion, there's no fragrance and its easily absorbed. I pump twice to get the desired amount and massage the emulsion in using circular and upwards motions.

SANA Body Refining Spray

Recommended by my friend to bust those horrible back-acne!

clear last makeup base

Early this month, I bought something (again) from Adambeauty. This time what I got was the Clear Last makeup base, Poreless Concealer which has SPF 25 PA++ and Shield and Prevention which has SPF 50+ and PA+++. Both are supposedly to have oil-controlling properties. Cost about SGD 20+ each.

The delivery this time was a little slow, I placed my order on Sunday and received my loots on a Friday. I do realise that the shipping for the past few months have stretched from 3 days in the past to about 5 days now.....

So far, I have only been trying out the Poreless Concealer base and I only find it so-so.

First, its hard to spread. It does not glide easily across my skin thus I feel that I am tugging on my skin every time and it is also hard to smooth out.

Second, the pore concealing effect is not that great, my SANA PorePutty Clear does a much better job and it is slightly less pricier.

Third, although it does a decent job at oil-controlling but it made my combination slightly dry at my cheeks and also, my makeup looked a little patchy at the end of the day.

I will definitely not repurchase and will try my utmost best to finish using it.. haha.. hopefully, the Shield and Prevention base will be better!!

bday dinner + presents

Finally, here's the pictures from my birthday.

My favourite durian cake from Angie the Choice~ (from BF)

On Saturday it rained.. =__=""" Without fail, it always rain on my birthday.. So irritating! So in the end, we ended up at Takashimaya for a light lunch and desert after which it was almost time for movies (we watched Blot :) )

After movies, there was still some time left, so we walked to John Little where I stocked up a tube of ZA concealer and a magnifying hand mirror.

We had our dinner at Black Angus which is located at Orchard Parade Hotel. Initially, I wanted to dine at the other Black Angus which was located at One Fullerton, unfortunately, they have closed that branch down.

Whenever I eat at Black Angus my order will always consist of this dish the "Baked Potato Soup"! Its my favourite ang moh soup~~ yummmmmy~~~~!

The 3 pictures below were taken because I was bored... hehe

My fave BAKED POTATO SOUP~~!!

I forgot what's this called, but its tasty!~

Grilled Jumbo Prawns - before

Grilled Jumbo Prawns - after

Overall, it was a rather satisfying meal although I would have preferred it if they served the dishes a bit slower.. Before we were half way into our chicken and soup, the prawns were served, so by the time I attacked the prawns, they were already cold and hard... =__=" Another thing I noted was that there wasn't any bread and butter with the soup!!! I lurvvvvve their bread and butter.......... I was so looking forward to them... >_<
Now for my presents~~
Ang bao from Auntie Lilian
Thank you!!

From Xianli my cute junior who still remembers that I like cats~! Thanks a lot again!

Hello Kitty dustbin from my colleague.. haha~ inside contains crackers~! I wonder how she know that I need a dustbin for my room?! I didn't even tell anyone!

The FaceShop Red Wine Exfoliating Mask and another Hello Kitty thingy from my good friend/colleague. Will try this mask tonight!

mmm?? Are you asking me where is the present I got from my BF?? That's no pictures because he didn't get me anything...... He says he will sponsor me some cash for furnishings for my bedroom... Says that he wants to get me something "useful" this year... bullsh*t *pui~~* hmmphf!

rmk brushes

As you all know, I am a huge makeup fan and even though I have a decent amount of "branded" cosmetics (but in the current year, more than half of my cosmetics buys are made up of drug store brands), most of my makeup brushes are quite cheap and not-so-good.

I first bought my "branded" and expensive brushes from Biotherm, its a brush set consisting of a power brush, blush brush, a lip brush and a large and medium eyeshadow brush. I still remembered that it cost me $50 and I bought it from Isetan Scotts,.. lol~~ This brush set is already 4 years old and I am still using them, but they are not as soft as they used to be...

My second branded brush was a travel sized RMK brush and case for cheeks which again was bought at Isetan Scotts for $19. I also bought this around 4 years ago and I am using it as an applicator to powder my nose in the office! hehehe..

My third expensive and branded brushes are a powder and blush brush from Anna Sui, the former cost $61 and the latter cost $49. I bought them at Tangs with vouchers I received from my 21st birthday.

My last "branded" brushes bought last year were from Sephora. I bought a large fluffy eye shadow brush ($32) and a travel set, consisting of blush, eye shadow and lip/concealer brush (this travel set were sponsored by my BF).

My other brushes are bought randomly, mostly from SASA, from Missha, The Body Shop and Etude House...

For some time bow, I have been contemplating to invest in another set of expensive brushes from Sephora or RMK, with a budget of about $100 for a powder brush and $80 for a blusher brush...

Why only Sephora or RMK?? Why not MAC or Bobbi Brown?? Those 2 are far too expensive lah! hahaha.. And also because, I have brushes from both Sephora and RMK and they are pretty darn good!

My 4 year old RMK blush brush is still very soft despite of me abusing it and my improper washing... It seldom shed and when washing, the color didn't run. As for my Sephora brushes, the colors don't run but the travel set brushes shed!

So finally, I bought RMK~! (The Sephora at DFS is no longer there! And I can't wait for the one at Ngee Ann City to open!!!)

My new babies~~!
They are being air dried now after "bathing"~ They are soooooooooooooo soft~~!! Can't wait to use them~!
When I washed them last night, the color did run slightly for the powder brush but when I washed it for the second time, there was no color :) But there was no shedding~!
GWP with $150 of purchase...

If you do your maths, my total purchase adds up to $144, but the kind SA gave the GWP to me anyways~ With my Istean Credit Card, I gotten a discount and only paid $136.80 ^-^

The GWP consisted of Face Protector SPF 31, Creamy Makeup Base Matt shade 02, eye makeup remover and a mirror (not shown). The two tiny samples are Face Protector and Makeup Base which I asked for prior to purchase. I just told the SA that I wish to try the Face Protector and Makeup Base and she gave me with no questions asked!
