rmk brushes

As you all know, I am a huge makeup fan and even though I have a decent amount of "branded" cosmetics (but in the current year, more than half of my cosmetics buys are made up of drug store brands), most of my makeup brushes are quite cheap and not-so-good.

I first bought my "branded" and expensive brushes from Biotherm, its a brush set consisting of a power brush, blush brush, a lip brush and a large and medium eyeshadow brush. I still remembered that it cost me $50 and I bought it from Isetan Scotts,.. lol~~ This brush set is already 4 years old and I am still using them, but they are not as soft as they used to be...

My second branded brush was a travel sized RMK brush and case for cheeks which again was bought at Isetan Scotts for $19. I also bought this around 4 years ago and I am using it as an applicator to powder my nose in the office! hehehe..

My third expensive and branded brushes are a powder and blush brush from Anna Sui, the former cost $61 and the latter cost $49. I bought them at Tangs with vouchers I received from my 21st birthday.

My last "branded" brushes bought last year were from Sephora. I bought a large fluffy eye shadow brush ($32) and a travel set, consisting of blush, eye shadow and lip/concealer brush (this travel set were sponsored by my BF).

My other brushes are bought randomly, mostly from SASA, from Missha, The Body Shop and Etude House...

For some time bow, I have been contemplating to invest in another set of expensive brushes from Sephora or RMK, with a budget of about $100 for a powder brush and $80 for a blusher brush...

Why only Sephora or RMK?? Why not MAC or Bobbi Brown?? Those 2 are far too expensive lah! hahaha.. And also because, I have brushes from both Sephora and RMK and they are pretty darn good!

My 4 year old RMK blush brush is still very soft despite of me abusing it and my improper washing... It seldom shed and when washing, the color didn't run. As for my Sephora brushes, the colors don't run but the travel set brushes shed!

So finally, I bought RMK~! (The Sephora at DFS is no longer there! And I can't wait for the one at Ngee Ann City to open!!!)

My new babies~~!
They are being air dried now after "bathing"~ They are soooooooooooooo soft~~!! Can't wait to use them~!
When I washed them last night, the color did run slightly for the powder brush but when I washed it for the second time, there was no color :) But there was no shedding~!
GWP with $150 of purchase...

If you do your maths, my total purchase adds up to $144, but the kind SA gave the GWP to me anyways~ With my Istean Credit Card, I gotten a discount and only paid $136.80 ^-^

The GWP consisted of Face Protector SPF 31, Creamy Makeup Base Matt shade 02, eye makeup remover and a mirror (not shown). The two tiny samples are Face Protector and Makeup Base which I asked for prior to purchase. I just told the SA that I wish to try the Face Protector and Makeup Base and she gave me with no questions asked!
