Ettusais Haul

Bought some Ettusais stuffs last month (Yes! I bought them last month and I only blogged about it today!!)

I was actually going to get just 1 item, but in the end, I came home with these babies....

While browsing, I saw this trial kit, consisting of a facial soap (Acne Gentle Wash) , softener (Medicated Acne Skin Version Up Extra) and moisturiser (White Shooter Dual Effect). I have not tried Ettusais skincare stuffs before (only tried the Nighttime Defense), so I thought its a good chance to them out. ^^

I also stocked up on my "supply" of the Acne Nighttime Defense (powder to be used at night, the final step to my skincare routine).

I also spotted the Lip Essence, which has SPF18 PA++. It looks super cute!

I was actually trying the trial kit in early November, but my skin became much drier since, so I have replaced them with my hydrating skincare stuffs. And miraculously, my red spots cleared up quite a bit too!

I have a constant battle between trying to hydrate my skin and fighting off acne. I can have clear skin for a few weeks and wham bam! The ugly spots start to appear.. :(

EOTD

The title is a little misleading... Its not EOTD for today, but EOTD for 4th Dec when I attended my cousin's wedding dinner.

This should be the first time I post an EOTD, hope my pictures doesn't disappoint!

The stuffs I used: -
1) Too Faced Shadow Insurance
2) Urban Decay Book of Shadows (shades Shattered, Goddess & Perversion)
3) Etude House Petite Darling Eyes (Matte) #1 -> to highlight
4) KATE Gel Eyeliner BK-1
5) Fasio Perfect Lash Builder
6) Fasio Hyperstay Mascara Deep Trick Curl Volume BK 001
7) Lancome Virtuose Mascara

(Urban Decay Book of Shadow)
(Etude House Petite Darling Eyes in #1)

Eye Makeup Remover - Short Review

This will be a short review on 2 eye make up removers, Kanebo eye make up remover and RMK .

Kanebo eye make up remover

Price : $20
Quantity: 120ml
Type: Dual-phase (oil and water)

Pros: Quite economical. Removes all eye make up including my super-hard-to-remove Fasio waterproof mascara with a few wipes. Doesn't sting my eye.

Cons: Smells bad... Some stinky oil smell. Leaves behind an oily film.

RMK Eye Makeup Remover

Picture from : http://www.yopi.co.th/image/prod_pics/1962/e/1962574.jpg

Price : $38
Quantity:
Type: Dual-phase (oil and water)

Pros: First, I think the bottle looks pretty. Second, it is unscented. And just like the Kanebo remover, it does not sting my eye and it removes every thing with a few wipes, but however, without leaving any oily feeling behind, and instead, the eye area feels soothe and smooth. Its like removing eye make up and doing some sort of eye care at the same time. I really really really really love it!

Cons: A little on the pricey side.

10 Things I Regretted Buying

The below list is not a comprehensive list of items I regretted buying, there are quite a few more things I do regret buying which are not in this list. However, I just capped it at 10 items for this post.

The items are not listed in any particular order...

1. TonyMoly Yeast Cleansing Lotion

Why?: It made me break out. Enough said.

2. Bbi@ Quick Brush Cleanser

Why?: The instruction says to spray the formula on eye and lip brushes for a dose of freshness... Where's the freshness?! Only oily-ness! My hands/fingers felt oily after touching the formula and so did my brush!

3. BeautyMaker Aquamarine Hydrating Serum

Why?: My skin felt sticky after using this serum, as it doesn't seemed to absorb well. And my skin seemed to secrete more oil when I use it.

4. Banila Co Kiss Essence SPF10

Why?: It stinks (well, I think so), and it tastes funny as well. I only tried it twice, and each time I wiped it off after 20 seconds. What a waste!

5. The Body Shop Strawberry Body Polish

Why?: Can't stand the smell when I use it in the shower, its just too strong and overpowering! I should have gotten other flavours because I do like the texture of the grains and it leaves me with smooth skin after each use.

6. Etude House Bubble O2 Cleanser

Why?: For a number of reasons... Firstly, its the smell (again)... Smells like some kinda of detergent... Then, it leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean and tight... And it leaks after every use! Have to clean the cap and the nozzle after every use! So troublesome!!

7. Banila Co Eye Love Gel Liner 01 Black Eyes

Why?: Have to layer on a few times to get the intensity I like, it looks sucky after a few layers, dries too quickly, and it gave me panda eyes. KATE gel eyeliner is so much better! Any tips to improve its performance?

8. Givenchy Lip Lip Shine ! 556 Beige Shine

Why?: I really like the colour, however its too heavily fragranced. And I think the name should be Beige Glitter instead of Shine as it has a lot of glitters but no shiny sheen (as a matter of face, my lips looked dry despite applying lip balm before it). I think my lips looked older when I wear it.

9. CANMAKE Glitter Mascara 01

Why?: My eye lashes uncurled after applying it... I have it I think 2 years already and Only used it twice? Think its time to chuck it away instead of letting it waste the precious space in my drawer.

10. The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-up Remover

Why?: Its supposedly to cleanse, soothe and soften... Gentle??! Soothe???! Soften??! O_O No way! It stinks my eyes badly (so badly that my eyes tear and turn red!!!), and it doesn't remove my waterproof mascara at all. However, its not totally useless as I use it to wipe makeup stains off my clothes. : x

I hope my bad taste in buying things does not extend to my taste in choosing my partner. (Get the hint my BF?)

What about you?! Any items you regretted buying???

Random Hauls

Just a random post of stuffs that I've bought over the past few months... I've done my part in boosting the economy, have you? Hehehe~

1. Esprique Precious Christmas Set $48

It is a very good deal! This set consists of nail colour, liquid eye shadow, face colour (3 blush and a highlighter), case, brush and lip gloss!

Read more about it at Rouge Deluxe.

2. Guerlain Serum SOS ($113)

Have been using it day and night religiously for a week already, and I am loving it! Helps to soothe and calm my sensitive skin and doesn't break me out! Is it worth the $113? Errmmm.. Not too sure at the moment, need to use it for a longer time...

4 & 5. The Body Shop Clarifying Clay Mask & Passion Fruit Body Scrub

My dear friend helped me buy these 2 products as she has 30% discount! I think the total damage is arond $40++?? Have yet to try the Clarifying Clay Mask, thinking of trying it later :) As for the Passion Fruit Body Scrub is a repurchase. Really really liked it previously!

6, 7 & 8. Muji Light Toning Water, Eye Lash Curler & Curler Pad Refill

Toner, haven't try, waiting to finish up my BRTC toner before opening it. The eyelash curler sucks! A total waste of money. Luckily its not too expensive!
