I go through phases with my makeup, I used to only use black eyeliners, be it gel or pencil (I never use liquid), it was always black. But as I evolved, I now only use brown eyeliners on a daily basis, saving black for special days like wedding dinners, company dinners, etc. when I want to my makeup to be different from my usual.
Here's a post dedicated to my favourite brown eyeliners. There are three of them and they are listed from the darkest to the lightest shade of brown.
Skincare routine - evenings
Continuing from my previous skin care routine post (you can read it here), this is on my skin care routine for the evenings.
My evening routine is somewhat similar to my day routine but with an extra cleansing step to remove makeup and there are more items I am rotating between.
So, let's cut the chase and begin!
First cleanse - to remove makeup
Eye
- Bifesta Eye Makeup Remover (favourite drugstore)
Face
- Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil
I like using this Bisfesta eye makeup remover as it easily removes all my eye makeup including my waterproof mascara. No tugging or rubbing needed. And since this is from the drugstore, the price is also affordable. In addition, I tend to stock up when there is discount going on. The other eye makeup remover I enjoy using is from YSL, but it is about three times more expensive.
I have been using the Fancl cleansing oil on and off for over the past few years. It is a simple, no frills and effective makeup remover. It does not leave my skin feeling greasy after washing off. Since Fancl has pulled out of Singapore, I guess I have to look for other alternatives.
Second Cleanse (no fixed/favourite cleanser)
- Haba Lobo Gokujyin
This is a cleanser that I use in the shower. It leaves my skin feeling clean but not dried out. So far I have been liking the products I have tried from Haba Lobo.
Toner (depending on skin condition)
- REN Clarimatte Clarifying Toner or
- Vichy Refreshing Toner or
- d Program Acne Care Lotion
The REN toner is a clarifying toner that unclogs pores and sloughs off dead skin, and it makes my skin tingle just a bit. I will follow up with the Vichy toner to rehydrate my skin. On spotty days, I will revert back to my trusty d Prodram Acne Care Lotion.
Serum
- Indeed Labs hydraluron (first layer)
- Odacite Jojoba - Lavender Serum Concentrate (1 drop, mixed with moisturiser)
- Odacite Camelina - Chamomile Serum Concentrate (1 drop, mixed with moisturiser)
Moisturise
- REN Clearcalm 3 Replenishing Gel Cream
These serums and moisturiser combination has been pretty good to my skin. I wake up with hydrated, bouncy skin (on most days).
The hydraluron serum provides hydration, the jojoba - lavender serum helps to prevent clogged pores, camelina - chamomile serum to soothe sensitive skin and finish off with the REN moisturiser that combats breakouts.
Lips
- Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant
Bought it from the duty free at only SGD10. It is quite good at keeping my lips hydrated but the taste is not very nice but still bearable.
Extra - Facial Oils
- Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil
- Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil
- Clarins Skin Repair Beauty
If I am feeling lazy or tired, I will just use a toner and a face oil.
The Pai rosehip oil has been sort of neglected as it did not help much with my skin. My favourite oils have to be from Clarins. The lotus one helps with breakouts and the other one helps with everything - breakouts, skin sensitivity, hydration, etc.. Its my go to treatment for fussy skin days.
That's all for today!
Thanks for reading!! Bye~
