My day time skincare routine

Most weekday mornings, I wake up groggy and slightly grumpy having being awaken by the sound of the buzzing alarm and occassionally, at the sound of my mom's loud voice (shhh, don't tell her about it!).

But after washing up and feeling much refresh and alive, my less than 5 minutes (or maybe slightly morethan 5 minutes, I've never timed myself, but I seemed to be quite fast) 7-step skincare routine begins in earnest. Time in the mornings are always very precious!

My routine goes like this : -
Cleanse -> Tone -> Eye Serum -> Eye Gel -> Face Serum -> Face Lotion -> Acne Cream (on targeted spots) -> Sunblock (or Makeup Base with SPF)

Seems to be quite long and tedious but actually its quite fast! Really! I ain't kidding!

In the mornings, I like to use light but hydrating products as I work in the office and the air conditioning is seriously drying up my poor skin!

My current HG "food" for my skin is the Etude House's (EH) Aqua Sherbet range... Hydrating and yet not sticky or tacky and doesn't cause my skin to breakout!

EH Aqua Sherbet Skin Toner, EH Sherbet Serum,
EH Aqua Sherbet Lotion &EH AC Clnic Red Spot Balm
As for my eye area, I use the Beautymarker Aquamarine Hydrating Eye Serum and Clarins Eye Contour Gel (this is my Nth tube).

I'm not too sure about others, but I really really really like the Clarins Eye Contour Gel as it really does a fanastic job at depuffing the eyelids! Although, as I grow older, I find that it is not hydrating enough but nevermind, I can always supplement with a eye serum underneath!

I suffer from allergies that sometimes causes my eyelids (both upper and lower) to swell, the the only thing that can help reduce swell is the Clarins eye gel, although the swell doesn't dissipate completely, at least it helps to soothe it down and I can open my eyes bigger. Sometimes the swell is so bad that I cannot open my eyes (caused by drug allergy, other allergies doesn't cause my lids to swell as bad). This product is one thing I never stopped buying from Clarins. But then again, it works for me, it might not wrok for you.

Lastly, for my sunblock, I am using Avene Very High Protection Emulsion 50+ SPF for normal to combination senstive skin or Beautymarker Light-Primer SPF 30 PA++.

Ok, that's all! Night to all!

Paul & Joe Haul

About 3 weeks ago, I finally caved in to temptation and bought more stuffs from P&J. After the pleasant experience with the Lipstick N that I bought during the Prestige warehouse sale, I suppose P&J is a worthy brand for me splurge upon :)

I bought a set @$108 ($104++ after discount), which consists of a Protective Hand Cream, Milky Lip Treatment, Cleansing Milk, Moisturizing Serum, Moisture Lotion N, Lip Gloss N (a choice between a bright fluorescence pink or #1 a nice shimmery chocolate??) and Eye Colour Palette I.

Freaking cute! Love the Disney characters! Reminds me of my childhood times! And they smell nice too! Smell of orange blossoms, the signature P&J scent.

I chose the shimmery chocolate, not the bright fluorescence pink, although the pink actually is quite sheer when applied on the back of my hands.
I thought that I should step out of my comfort zone and try the darker shade as I do not own anything like that. Well, not too sure if its too dark for me though, it didn't cross my mind to try it on my lips at the counter.

The SA advised me to apply the pink as a blush instead. I've not opened them up and use them yet.. hehe.. Sticking to my first-in-first out SOP (stand operating procedures) for my cosmetics. Lol~!

With $100 purchase, I got the following GWPs:-
  • A roomy makeup pouch (good and big enough for travel)

  • Light Cleansing Milk

  • Whitening Emulsion

  • Moisture Lotion (rich)

Lastly, Selamat Hari Raya Aidifitri!

Gmarket haul :)

Sorry to keep you waiting! Here's my August Gmarket haul~! ♥

This round, I bought 3 more packs of stickers! Initially, I didn't plan to get any, but my manager tempted me by asking me whether the stickers she chose are nice or not, then unknowingly, I went to surf and selected some for myself too! >_< ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ! But I buy them to collect, not to use... Hehe~ Makes me happy when I take them out to see.

I also got more earrings again! :D These are pretty cheap around W1,000 to W1,900 only! And check out the cute ribbon earrings and the mickey mouse ones!

Needless to say, I bought more stuffs from Etude House (EH) again.

I got the Oblique Shading Brush (W7,000 I think) as I thought it will make a good blush brush as it has a slanted tip. But it turned out to be smaller than expected, so I am using it as a highlight brush instead. On the bright side, the bristles are softer than the Blush Contour Brush that I bought the other time. Lucky~!

Out of curiosity it got the Roll Roll Sponge Nail Remover, at local drugstore there's also something similar which retails at $9.90, EH's version is about $2.50 without shipping.

The insides are lined with sponge which are soaked with nail polish remover. Just put your finger in with the nail pressed again the sponge and twist your finger and viola! The polish will be gone!
One thing to note is the polish will stain the sponge and will not fade away (as observed for 3 days). And it stinks a little (well, all nail polish remover stinks anyway).

Despite it being cheap, it turns out to work very well! Just by turning my thumb once to the left and once to the right, most of the nail polish is gone except for the ones at the most corner of the sides.

I bought the cleansing tissue again as my current ones are almost finished. This shows how much I liked it right?! :D I need to get another bottle of cleansing milk again, it seems that somehow or other I use the EH cleansing milk much faster than other brands of cleansing milk. Funny!

Lastly, I got another set of the Aqua Sherbet which consists of a toner, lotion and gel-cream. I have to admit I bought this set as it came with a free beauty box (see below). But anyways, the Aqua Sherbet range suits me quite well.

Here's are the freebies~

  • Cute pink bag x1
  • Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Powder Wash x2 sachets
  • Aqua Sherbet Aloe Soothing Gel 15ml x1
  • Moistfull Toner x1 sample
  • Moistfull Lotion x1 sample
  • Beauty Box

The beauty box is actually at my desk in the office as my dressing table is too small to house the box. This beauty box is actually quite big and quite sturdy too! Very good!

ck deluxe color sampler collection

Some time back, I stumbled upon Calvin Klein Deluxe Color Sampler Collection Limited Edition when I was browsing around at Metro Paragon when they were having 20% discount. After much persuasion, my BF finally agreed to let me bring it home.... (I wonder why do I have to beg him to let me buy it when I'm paying for it from my own pockets!!! Totally absurd!)

Its a very good buy, considering that I paid $39.92 for 18 miniatures of ck makeup, which works out to be less than $2.50 per item. Ha~!

Upon opening the box, there are 4 eye shadows, 2 blushers, 1 mascara (True Lustre Lengthening Mascara in Black Lustre), 1 puny blush brush and 2 puny sponge-tip applications. I shall skip the color descriptions of the eye shadows and blushers as I am not apt with it.

Lined up at the 3 sides of the box are more goodies~!

from left to right:
  • Mini Nail Enamel 210 Mod Red
  • Mini Nail Enamel 211 Phoenix
  • Creme Concealer Endless Creme in Cream
  • Mini Delicious Pout Mini Flavoured Lip gloss 404 Sparkle
  • Delicious Luxury Creme Lipstick in Mesmerize(a very scary Fuchsia Pink)
  • Mini Delicious Pout Mini Flavoured Lip gloss 403 Dew Drop
  • Infinite Matte Oil-free Foundation Soft Beige
  • Infinite Hydration Moisturising Foundation 103 Toasted
  • Infinite Matte Oil-free Foundation Soft Caramel

I have not tried them yet! x_x
