It is time for another Weekly Photo Challenge! It is started by Yumeko from Bittenbefore - A Dream of Tokyo. She is on to the 6th edition now, but I only started from the 5th edition, Body Care Edition.. This week's challenge is Makeup Colors Edition.
Now, let's get started!
1. Black
Nothing fancy here, just eyeliners, mascara and eye shadows..
2. Brown
This is an easy one as I have lots of browns in my collection.
3. White
I don't own lots of white items....
4. Orange [since Sephora named it color of the year this year]
I really had a hard time finding orange items from my stash!! Not the biggest fan of orange on my skin.
5. The most popular color amongst your makeup collection
I have decided to choose coral pink even though I have undoubtedly more pinks in my makeup collection, as I wanted to show my newest coral pink blush - Burberry Light Glow in No.5 Blossom Blush. I have only bought it last week and I think it will be making its way into my top 5 favourite blush. But just that I'm not the biggest fan of the strong scent.
You can find Yumeko's Weekly Photo Challenge #6 – Makeup Colors Edition here. And here's the link to my Body Care Edition.
My boyfriend and I embarked on a 9 days trip to Taiwan
recently. Okay, maybe not so recently, since I went in late May and now its almost
July.
It was free and easy trip, and our main focus was shopping, eating and R
and R. My primary goal was a little more simple, which is to go shopping! And I am so glad that I managed to achieve my goal! I bought lots of clothes, bags, cosmetics, skin care, food, etc. I am so amazed that the combined weight of our
check-in luggages were only 40kg!!
We spent 3 days in Yilan
and the rest of the other days in Taipei. At Yilan, we spent most of the time
sight seeing, enjoying the nature and the fresh air. We also went cycling. My boyfriend even went
paragliding! I didn't join him as I was afraid of heights.
Okies, enough of intro, I shall move on with the
haul.
Let 's start with the items from the drugstore. I was in luck as a lot of the skincare items I bought from the drugstores were having some
kind of promotions or discounts... It could be buy one get one free or buy one get the next item at a discount, etc.
I stocked up on some sheet masks from Deary and My Beauty Diary.
My Beauty Diary Platinum Colloid Mask
From left: Deary Edelweiss Hyaluronic Acid Moisturising Invisible
Elastic Mask and Deary Chamomile Arbutin Whitening Invisible Elastic Mask
From left: Deary Bright Refresh Mask and Deary Moisture Ease Mask
I also got some eye masks from some random brands. I
didn't know which ones are good, I only chose those that are on sale....
Hehe~
From left: Dr Morita EGF & Collagen Eye Mask and Lifecella Eye Mask
Random Brand Jelly Eye Mask
To my delight, I spotted these babies at the convenience store in Yilan! My favourite bear! Rilakkuma~~!!
From left: Rilakkuma Hand Cream and Rilakkuma Brightening Face Mask Sheet
Both: For Beloved One Hyaluronic Acid Molecules Moisturising Serum
From left: My Beauty Diary Blossom & White Lotus Moisturising
Mist and My Beauty Diary Rose & White Peony Brightening Mist
The My Beauty Diary face mists were on sale as well. There were only two
flavours available, Blossom & White Lotus and Rose & White Peony, so I got one of each. I have been lemming for
these face mists for some time already, but I keep skipping them over when I go to the drugstores.
From left: Shu Uemura Depsea Water Face Mist in Mint
and Neogence Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Fluid
From the beauty counter, I got another bottle of mist, from Shu Uemura and I chose refreshing mint flavor, so that I can spray myself awake when I am in the office.
I also stocked up on my all time favourite sunblock, which is the IPSA Super Sun Block SPF 50 PA+++.
I don't know if you can tell, since I bought 3 bottles of the same item,
I really love these IPSA Super Sun Block! Now that IPSA has pulled out totally from Singapore, I will have to search for a new favourite...
I will start using them again once I finished my current Sofina sunblock. And hopefully, these three bottles can tide me over until the end of 2013.
You can find my very brief review in my post in April 2011Updated Skincare Routine - Day. My review is near
the bottom of the page.
At the Shiseido counter in one of Taipei's shopping mall, I bought some d
Program skincare items. I first found out about d Program two years ago
when I was in Taipei.
From left: d Program AC Lotion, d Program Balance Care
Lotion I and d Program Balance Care Emulsion I
I really liked the AC Lotion back then, so I decided to
get one bottle. And this time I also got a Lotion I and a Emulsion I
from the Balance Care range to try out.
I
have been using the Balance Care Lotion I and Emulsion I nightly for
nearly month already. I have nothing bad to say about them. Both hydrates
my skin well, does not leave any sticky feeling and I have not got any negative
reactions (eg. breakouts, sensitivity, redness) from using them. But
other than that, I do not see any significant improvements.
From the Changi Airport Duty Free, I bought the SK-II Cellumination EX
Essence. You can find my review here.
Well, that's all for now! Thanks for reading! Bye~~!!
I have decided to jump onto the bandwagon and join the Weekly Photo Challenge (renamed from Friday Photo Challenge).
Now, let's get started! ^-^
1. Body Wash
From left: Dove Sensitive Skin Nutrium Moisture, Etude House Creamy Peach Chou Body Wash
I change up my body wash frequently and currently I am using these two above. Both smells good, lathers up well and are inexpensive.
2. Skin Moisturizer
Clockwise: Kenzoki Bare Body Night Cream, Clarins Satin Finish Body Oil, Clarins Men Body Moisture Spray
I currently have three body moisturizer on rotation. As the weather here is freaking warm, I use the Clarins Men Body Moisture Spray more frequently, as it is the most lightweight and non sticky amongst the three.
The Kenzoki cream smells soooooooooo good and I was totally sold when I first smelled it. The texture is light weight but it will leave my skin feeling sticky if I over apply. The price is of this cream exorbitant... To date it is the most expensive body lotion I have ever bought.
As for the Clarins Body Oil, I have it for the longest time and I have yet to finished it up! Its not that I do not like it, but just that I tend to forget about it. I believe it has already been discontinued.
3. Hair Treatment/Conditioner
From left: Tsubaki Head Spa Massage Spa Mask, Clinicare Hair Time Renewal One Wash Treatment, Skin Food Moisture Egg Hair Pack
These three are my current favourite hair/scalp masks. The Tsubaki one leaves my scalp feeling clean and fresh and also makes my hair light and bouncy. The Clinicare and Skin Food masks leaves my hair soft and silky.
My friend ever commented that the Skin Food Egg Hair Pack smells like rotten eggs. Hahaha... I don't think it smells that bad but for sure, it is definitely not the best smelling hair product.
4. Perfume
Clinique Happy Heart
This is my favourite perfume ever. As you can see, the bottle is nearly empty. I still can't decide if I should continue using this perfume (I stocked up another bottle at the DFS) or the DKNY Be Delicious that my friend bought for me. I have another half filled Anna Sui perfume sitting on my vanity but I hardly ever use it for the past year.
5. Other body care items
From left: ~H2O+ Purifying Body Mud, Clarins Bust Beauty Lotion and Biore UV Aqua SPF 30 PA+++
I have been using the Clarins Bust Lotion for sometime already, but I don't think it makes much difference. :p The plus points are that it is not sticky, absorbs fast and leaves the skin velvety smooth. As for the Biore UV Aqua, it still remains as my number one body sun block. I have previously reviewed it here.
I'm sorry... I'm being lazy again... I am back from my holidays for almost three weeks already and I have yet to post any pictures of my haul!
I've already taken pictures of the items, but the pictures are still sitting in my SD cards waiting to be copied over to my PC... I'll try to post the pictures up soon....
